Workshop Seminar on UN documentation and tips for researching, 18 May
In May 2004, the UN Documentation Service, jointly run by the UN Information
Centre and the UNU Library, will hold an English-language workshop seminar
on “UN documentation and tips for researching”.
More than thirty seminars have been organized in Japanese language and participated
in by nearly 300 people including from mass media, NGOs, university professors,
researchers, etc. In December last year, we started to conduct the similar
seminar in English, making them accessible to the non-Japanese speaking
community.
The workshop seminar is designed to help you gain familiarization with UN’s online research tools such as UNBIS and UN-I-QUE. It will also provide the participants very useful tips on how to achieve better search results by taking advantage of UN homepages and UN-published hard copy research documents and publications.
