Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)Student Photo Contest 2017 Result will be announced on UN Day (24 October)

Press Release 17-052-E 2017.10.13

Winners have been chosen among more than 1,000 entries!

The second Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Student Photo Contest organised by the United Nations Information Centre, Tokyo (UNIC Tokyo) and Sophia University was held this year and once again invited university students, graduate students, and vocational school students from all over the world to share their take on the SDGs. We received more than 1,000 entries from 73 countries, which significantly exceeded entries from the inaugural contest held last year. This year, we established two special awards, namely the TOGETHER Award and Concept Award. The award ceremony will take place on the United Nations Day (Tuesday, 24 October), which also coincides with Sophia University’s UN Weeks.

In order to achieve the SDGs, it is essential to ask yourself what you can do to bring changes to your own surroundings. We hope that this event will deepen your understanding of the SDGs. Let’s promote the SDGs with the motto “Leave no one behind”. We look forward to having you with us!
